David Muir

1.     Introduction

David Muir was born on 8^th of November 1973 in Syracuse, New York. David Muir is a very popular American journalist who works for ABC world News as an anchor of ABC World News Tonight with David Muir program. Before working as an anchor in ABC World News he had served as the weekend anchor for flagship ABC News where he broadcast the ABC World News Tonight and also worked as the co-anchor of the ABC news-magazine.  By Tyndall Report, Muir's reporting has received the most airtime in 2012 and 2013. 2.     Education and Early life

 He has spent his childhood in a place named Onondaga Hill. Onondaga hill is a name of a village located in the southwest of Syracuse. David Muir was born to Ronald Muir and Pat Mills. From his family he has got an older brother, three nieces and one nephew. He had spent his vacation working at WTVH-TV, the local CBS affiliate in Syracuse during his teenage. Including his mother tongue, Muir is very good in Arabic and Spanish.  The news anchor Muir got his graduation from Onondaga Junior-High School in May 1991. After graduation from the School he joined the college at the Park School of Communication in Ithaca College at Ithaca, New York and completed Bachelor of Arts Degree in journalism in May 1995. Also he had attended Political journalism to raise fund for American Studies at Georgetown University. Also he had worked as an anchor and reporter at WTVH television from 1995 to 2000 in Syracuse, New York. There he reports from Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Israel, and the Gaza Strip followed by the 1995 assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin that earned him top honours from the Radio-Television News Directors Association. After then Muir was honoured with “Best Enterprise Reporting” and “Best Television Interviewer”. Besides these Muir was also recognized as an anchor of the “Best Local Newscast” which also voted him for one of the “Best Local News Anchor’s” in Syracuse. Muir joined ABC News in august 2003 as a anchor of the overnight news program World News Now. Occasionally in 2006 he co-anchored the news magazine “Primetime” and in 2007 Muir was the anchor of World News Saturday. There his anchoring carrier just goes on and on and in February 2012, Muir became anchor for the weekend newscasts, and the broadcast was named as World news with David Muir. From this Muir has silently credited with arise in the rating of the weekend evening broadcasts. Building his carrier Muir starting hard working in anchoring and in 2013 he was promoted as co-anchor in ABC’s 20/20 with Elizabeth Vargas. It’s September 2005, a hurricane katrina hit inside the new Orleans superdome at the same moment Muir was also there reporting on the unfolding humanitarian crisis. Muir report revealed and highlighted the deteriorating condition inside the convention centre and charity hospital. Also at that very moment Muir and his photographer waded through chest-deep waters for blocks to find patient trapped into that hospital.
